I am a social psychologist who studies interpersonal relationships and the self. I earned a B.A. in psychology from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, and I earned both my M.S. and Ph.D. in social psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. I now work as an Associate Professor of Psychology at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. I teach First-Year Seminars, Introduction to Psychological Science, Social Psychology, Advanced Topics in Social Psychology (Interpersonal Relationships), and Advanced Social Psychology with Lab. I also work with students on Independent Study, Bachelors Essay, and Tutorial projects as well as on a volunteer basis. When I'm not teaching and researching, you can find me traveling, reading, camping, scuba diving, kayaking, lounging at the beach, playing with my Boston Terrier, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends.
